PC-DOCTOR INTRODUCES NEW TESTS THAT IMPROVE MULTIMEDIA EXPERIENCE

RENO, Nev. (June 26, 2007) — New diagnostic tests of hardware components that support emerging digital media requirements on personal computers are now available from PC-Doctor Inc. (www.pc-doctor.com), the global leader in system health tools.

Included are tests for Blu-ray and HD DVD optical drives, the two dominant formats competing to become the de facto standard for high-definition digital video discs, and for TV tuner components that allow PCs to receive and process television signals.

Continued investment in new diagnostics is essential to keep pace with technological advances in the PC industry, said Doug van Aman, PC-Doctors chief marketing officer. PC-Doctor works closely with the worlds leading PC companies, component manufacturers, service organizations and others to make sure that up-to-date diagnostics are available when new hardware ships.

The two DVD formats have made the headlines in recent months as backers jockey for market position. Just last week, Blockbuster announced that it would adopt the Blu-ray DVD format in its stores but would offer both formats through its mail service. HP, meanwhile, supports both formats on the same PC, which gives customers the advantage of choice.

The three new tests are just three of the more than 350 that comprise PC-Doctors diagnostic suite in Windows Vista and Windows XP.
